Eisteddfod Results 2018

We had a fantastic 2018 eisteddfod season. Our Performance team groups gained 6 x 1st places, 10 x 2nd places, 6 x 3rd places & 7 x Highly commended. And to top it off our, 8yrs team won the highest scoring 8yrs & under group of the entire stanthorpe eisteddfod. We also had many students compete in solos or duos at these competitions, with everyone receiving a placing, again so many fantastic results were achieved. Senior KDA dancer, Kaitlyn Hannessen was awarded two very prestigious awards at the Kingaroy Eisteddfod. Kaitlyn was awarded the South Burnett's Most Promising Dancer Perpetual Trophy as was the the Elementary Jazz championship award r/u. 


South Burnett Musical Society 

Congratulations to all our KDA dancers who performed in the South Burnett Musical Society’s production of the ‘Beauty and the Beast’. It was truly a fantastic performance. Well done to everyone involved.

KDA Own Choreography Competition

We were so proud and enjoyed watching them all perform their own choreographed dances. It was a great day and great atmosphere. 
A big thank you to our lovely adjudicator Briana Cellendoni. 
Local Event Performances

Our performance teams have been very lucky to perform at many local events this year.
Our students go to the perform at the Commonwealth Games Batton Relay event, Baconfest, the South Burnett Family Fun Day, as well as in the Kingaroy Shopping Centre, where they met singer, Timomatic.
Kingaroy Dance Academy 2017 USA TOUR!!!

We had the privlege to take 19 KDA dancers over to the USA in Dec 2017.  Our students got to dance at Disneyland, Universal Studios and on the Hollywood boulevard in California, USA. We also danced in the Disneyland Merry Holiday Parade, through Disneyland. Our dancers  also got to participate in a workshop at the famous Abby Lee Dance Company and Disneyland Performing Arts. We had the best time and are excited to announce we will be running another tour to the USA, plus Hawaii in 2019.
Ballet Success!
KDA dancer Lucy Crumpton, is a well travelled dancer. First Disneyland, and now she can add touring parts of QLD to her list. 
Lucy Crumpton recently successfully auditioned and has landed character roles in the National Conservatoire Ballet Company’s production of Nanny McPhee. Congratulations Lucy.
